High Pressure Test Machines
Our principle activity is the generation of high pressure within fluids. The pressurised fluid may be used for many purposes including cleaning and component testing. The pressure is generated using different techniques depending upon the application requirements but the two main methods are through the use of multi piston pumps and oil-oil intensifiers, both of which have been used in many of our high pressure test machines.
Pressure Generation Capabilities:
| Pressure: | Up to 3000 bar |
| Pressure Stability: | Better than +/-0.1 bar for steady state conditions |
| Flow Rate: | Up to 100 L/min depending upon pressure |
| Temperature Control: | Up to 160°C +/-1°C depending upon fluid |
Pressure Generation with Pumps
The big advantage with pumps is the continuous delivery and relatively high flow rates. These characteristics are ideally suited to flow testing. Using a servo controlled motor to drive the pump gives good pressure control and very rapid speed of response under the right conditions.
Pressure Generation with Oil-Oil Intensifiers
Intensifiers have the advantage that very high pressure can be generated and accurately controlled. Very smooth pressure delivery is achieved by making small adjustments to the oil supplied into the intensifier.

Pressure Testing
Pressure testing is concerned with establishing component characteristics through the application of high pressure fluids to different areas and measuring the effects such as leakage, flow rates and opening pressures.
