Flushing Machine
Description
The flushing
machine is designed to clean the internal features of components
prior to final assembly by flushing fluid through them at medium
pressure. It is a manually loaded machine with a twin fixture
enabling either 1 or 2 components to be flushed at the same
time. As well as flushing the component, the flow rate may be
measured and analysed to determine if certain internal
components have been fitted or if the component is partially
blocked. Up to 10 different flushing routines may be programmed
and stored in the system allowing both the test pressure and
duration to be specified. The system utilises an HMI interface
for the operator through which test results and user friendly
alarm and warning messages are communicated. It also provides
access to full fault diagnostics tools, calibration sequences
and test parameters through a password protected interface.
Operation
The Component to be cleaned is loaded into the machine and the guard closed. Pressing the start button activates the hydraulic clamp to clamp the component in place and connect it to the flushing circuit. Once the clamp pressure has been achieved oil flows through the component at the required pressure for the specified duration. On completion of this sequence the component is unclamped and the guard unlocked allowing the component to be removed and the next one loaded.
